2017 WRAP UP BY CREATIVE DIRECTOR POSHPLUM

2017 was a HUGE year! Primadonna Style Showroom was born, and I was given the opportunity to be the Creative Director. I live and breathe all things Fashion, Beauty and the Arts as a whole – all mediums. To be honest, I had experienced some major personal traumas, professional setbacks and I’d given up on the fashion industry altogether (I have a Fashion Marketing degree and work a 9-5 in the Real Estate/Mortgage Industry). Needless to say, I wasn’t feeling very creative. But I soon realized that being a Creative Director is basically what I do for FUN – I’m constantly on the search for beauty and art in every aspect of my life. This is my opportunity to do what I already live for.

Primadonna Style Showroom is still in its infancy stage and we are constantly learning and growing. The website launch was stressful but AMAZING – the preparation, the buying, the late nights, the anticipation. We learned the process of executing photo shoots (both on the scenes AND remotely). I mean, we totally pulled off a photo shoot with the Photographer and model being half way across the country and us directing via phone and face time. Extremely stressful, but fun! And we learned so much along the way.

In 2017, we learned that creating a virtual shopping experience is vital, but coming from behind the laptop and meeting/interacting with our target market is essential. We were blessed to be invited to vend at our first pop-up shop and be amongst other “Girl Bosses” and entrepreneurs - the energy was INSANE. The experience was amazing – we were able to engage our clients with on the spot styling while having the privilege of interacting in person (not just virtually). Not only did we make some great sales, we also met some amazingly beautiful, talented and strong Primadonnas that we are looking forward to building with in 2018.

2017 was BOMB overall, and it’s all because of our clients and friends. We couldn’t have done it without YOU. Thank you for your support. And stay tuned. We are working behind the scenes to fine tune our branding, scouting new inventory and working on developing our blog with major content for the New Year.
