Where?: Brooklyn, NY - Williamsburg
Ok, so I must admit, 29Rooms was LIT. The people, the art, the vibe. The creative energy.
I've been following the global destination for stylish women, Refinery29 for years and was super hype to learn that they were expanding their reach with this event.
Think of a huge warehouse with various rooms sectioned off to house the various interactive installations. Each intricately curated installation by the artists represented a different movement - my personal favorite was the Planned Parenthood x Bright Future neon light installation, which displayed neon sculptures of the female anatomy (yes, the inside of the vajay, to be exact!)
The event featured global artists and was sponsored by the likes of Aldo, Aveda and Juicy Couture,just to name a few.The Aldo Runway was actually AMAZING - I had 30 seconds to strut down the ALDO runway, which was a platform covered by a circular gondola, lined with nothing but shoes! Talk about a dream come true.
29Rooms was quite the experience - I felt like I was in an adults-only interactive playground. And the people were super stylish. Some of Fall's hottest trends were in the building - thigh high boots with denim shorts, sheer bodysuits and bold lips were all popping. Was it worth the trek to Brooklyn? Absolutely.
